Making the transition from middle school to high school can be difficult. The ninth grade teaching team is working together to coordinate and engage students in cross-curricular learning and provide mentoring. The shared weekly mentoring document helps teachers engage students in a process of reflection and growth. During the short mentoring time this week, students reflected on their first quarter experiences in their journals. Then they created short videos featuring characters from the books they are reading, and finally, students used a Google form to sign up for a one-on-one meeting with specific teachers for the next mentoring session.
