Teachers and students celebrated diverse learning experiences during Week Without Walls (WWW) using a wide variety of technology to plan and implement the workshops. Earlier in the school year, students made suggestions and teachers collaborated using Google Docs to determine the workshop topics. The WWW website was a vital resource for teachers during this planning process. There, teachers found information about organizing transportation, budgeting, and the common rubric for grading students' participation during the workshop.
The workshops students chose had a wide variety of technology use, from low-tech ways to help turtles to the construction of flying drones, but all students documented their experience through photographs and video. Students used these photographs to create reflection presentations, videos and websites. On March 25th, students had the opportunity to share their presentation and describe their experience with students from different grade levels and WWW workshops. See below for pictures, videos and student reflections from our week without walls workshops.
