Tired of looking at spreadsheets with long text results? AutoCrat or DocAppender might be for you. These add-ons turn any spreadsheet or Google Form data into personalized Google docs. If you collect information using forms, this can help you see the data in an easier to read format.
FormMule is one of my favorite tools because it is an easy way to send personalized emails to a large number of students. In my presentation, I used Yet Another Mail Merge, but I like FormMule better because it eliminates the need to create a draft email in Gmail. It's all right there in the spreadsheet.
A new add-on that math and science teacher might like is g(Math) for Documents. It allows you to create fractions, complex equations and graphs in your docs. g(Math) for Forms allows you to create all those great things in a form so you can quiz your students and use Flubaroo to grade them automatically.
More information can be found about these add-ons and more on the New Visions Cloud Lab website. These add-ons were designed and written by teachers and students who work in close design and capacity-building relationships with the leadership and staff in 80 NYC public high-schools.
