Every summer, students are expected to read at least one book in English and Spanish. The summer reading assignment helps students retain learning and grow as an independent reader. In the past, students chose from a selection of books or everyone read the same book. This year, students are recommending books to each other using Padlet pages for different grade levels. The main Padlet page is accessible from theupper school library page and provides guidance for writing recommendations. From the main Padlet page, you can access the recommendations for grades 5-12. Check out the 11th grade English book suggestions below!

All students attending middle school next year selected their summer reading books recently. Having been presented with the options, students took an online survey (a Google form) to indicate their selection. The 4th graders book options are linked here.
book that they wanted to tell others about. With texting, we need to be concise, interesting and purposeful to express our meaning to others. Some students did a variation on the idea by doing three, 3 word sentences. By the end of the class period, we shared the Google Presentation which included twenty 3 Word Book Talks in 4 minutes. Super Cool.
